Self-Care Sunday- Enlightened Warrior Book Club And A Contest

"A book club that inspires you to be the best expression of yourself, one book at a time."

Enlightened Warrior Book Club is a subscription box based out of Denver Colorado. The box is for those who love inspirational books that encourage growth. The monthly box always contains a book of the month, either fiction or non-fiction, a variety of local handmade things like soaps and teas, a gift to give to someone else and bonus items.

You can read all about the origins of the company by reading their story here. Written by Founder and CEO Emily, it offers insight into her inspiring life journey and touches on her goals for Enlightened Warrior Book Club.

You can choose to join month-to-month or opt for a 6-month or 12-month membership. The cost of a month-to-month membership is $39.34 a month. You receive a monthly discount when you sign up for the 6 or 12 month membership.

On the sign up page, when you click the "join now" button next to your selected plan, you are taken to the Cratejoy website to complete your purchase. Cratejoy is a one-stop-shop for subscription boxes and services. On each company's page, you will find questions with answers, reviews that have been posted by customers and an overview of the box or service.

If you place your Enlightened Warrior Book Club order between the 1st and last day of the month, you will receive your box between the 1st and 6th of the next month. Existing subscribers will have their boxes shipped between the 28th and the last day of each month. Subscriptions always renew on the 11th of each month.

Enlightened Warrior Book Club ships worldwide, and you can cancel at any time.

Another great perk of this box is that subscribers are invited to participate in a weekly phone call that focuses on concepts and ideas from the monthly book. Enlightened Warrior Book Club hopes that each subscriber will be able to "evolve out loud" during the calls. Subscribers will receive dial-in information in their monthly box.

Enlightened Warrior Book Club kindly sent me a box to review and I am so excited to share it with you! I found the box to be so lovely and very inspiring. Here is what was inside:*

*A small disclaimer- Some of the products are sourced by Enlightened Warrior Book Club locally in their Denver, Colorado area. I tried to find information about each product and brand and included what I could find. Some of the brands are so indie that they haven't set up a website yet.

"The Untethered Soul" by Michael A. Singer

Description from Amazon:

"Whether this is your first exploration of inner space, or you've devoted your life to the inward journey, this book will transform your relationship with yourself and the world around you. You'll discover what you can do to put an end to the habitual thoughts and emotions that limit your consciousness. By tapping into traditions of meditation and mindfulness, author and spiritual teacher Michael A. Singer shows how the development of consciousness can enable us all to dwell in the present moment and let go of painful thoughts and memories that keep us from achieving happiness and self-realization."

This book sounds amazing and like something I would totally pick up in the bookstore. I'm really excited to read it and will be sure to report back when I'm finished.

Bag of Loose Tea by Hickey's Teas and Stainless Steel Tea Infuser

Inside a tiny pouch is very pretty loose tea. Kind of like tiny flowers. The tea is called "Soulful", and contains dried apple pieces, raspberry leaves, lemon balm, hibiscus, peppermint leaves, rosehips and dried cranberries. I was thrilled to receive a tea infuser because I don't currently own one, and it enables me to be able to drink the tea that came in the box.

Scented Candle

This dainty candle looks like it was made specifically for Enlightened Warrior Book Club. The floral scented candle is contained within a tin with a lid that bears Enlightened Warrior Book Club's name.

The candle smells gorgeous and will be the perfect addition to my meditation alter.

Sinoband Travel Journal

This is a beautiful but simple travel journal. It is 8.1 x 5.6 inches big, and contains 64 sheets of wide ruled paper. The cover is made from super soft PU leather, so it is vegan friendly.

This journal will be perfect for the millions of notes that I make everyday. The cover is really soft and has a pretty landscape picture etched onto it. The paper is nice and thick, and the notebook is the perfect size for writing while still being small enough to remain portable.

Gem Pen

A gold pen that is so pretty and makes me feel very fancy when I use it. The black ink pen is weighty, which I love. The best pat is the top, which is adorned with a huge, glittery gem. It's the perfect partner for the travel journal.

Handmade Soap in Sandalwood by Valencia Soaps

This is a good size bar of soap that smells amazing. I love sandalwood so I wasn't too surprised that I fell in love with the soap. The ingredient list is simple and includes yummy things like olive oil, coconut oil and sandalwood fragrance oil. I can't wait to try this out in the bath!

Small Suitcase Box with Compass

The last item was a really cute bag. It looked like a little present. Inside the bag was an adorable, tiny box that was designed to look like a suitcase. It has a little handle and everything! Inside the suitcase was a gold compass. There was also a card that offered any new subscriber 50% off their first box. Enlightened Warrior Book Club encourages you to give the suitcase, compass and promo to someone so that they can discover Enlightened Warrior Book Club.

In the spirit of giving, I want to give one of my lovely readers the suitcase, compass and promo code for 50% off, which is printed on one side of the suitcase. So I am going to have a bit of a contest. The first reader to email me at inconvenient.relative@gmail.com, and briefly tell me how you are working to end the stigma around mental health, will be awarded the set! I will ship it out to you shortly after receiving your email. I can't wait to hear from you.

I want to give a big thank you to Enlightened Warrior Book Club for sending me this box to review. I truly appreciate the opportunity and am thankful that you took a chance on me and my blog.

You can visit the Enlightened Warrior Book Club on their website, on Cratejoy, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and Pinterest.
