The Dream Podcast

Last season on the Dream, host Jane Marie explored the psychology behind MLMs and pyramid schemes. It was fascinating and you should totally give it a listen.

For the second season, Jane Marie investigates the wellness industry. Why do people believe the sometimes unbelievable promises of wellness products and company's? Why are we so willing to believe that crystals will heal us or that sunning our bum is the key to feeling good. Do we really need to steam our vaginas or drink CBD soda? Is discovering your past life really worth it? And do all of these vitamins and supplements, that we pay so much money for and take daily as if it were our religion, really do anything at all? The Dream works to answer those questions and more.

Here is the synopsis:

"Oils, crystals, juices and more have been said to bring us eternal happiness and health-but how much of that is based in truth? Who benefits and loses from the wellness industry as a whole? We'll be talking to some familiar voices and new ones about broader questions like these in season 2 of the Dream."

As I write this, the first five episodes are out and I have listened to them all. They have all been really interesting and entertaining. I was able to learn some really alarming things about what's really in all of those vitamins and supplements we take and what effect they truly have on our bodies. Also, the history behind why the FDA doesn't regulate wellness products is really wild.

If you are obsessed with wellness, skeptical of the wellness industry, or just need an excellent podcast to binge, this is it. The makers behind the Dream really nailed it. It's podcasting at it's finest.

You can catch the Dream on Apple podcasts or wherever you listen to your podcasts.
